"I have been listening to filk music since I first heard Heather Alexander doing songs from Mercedes Lackey (one of my top favorites) back in the early 1990's. I just learned of this site after watching a Youtube video of "Fair were the Towers" - a song mentioned in Elizabeth Moon's "Deed of Paksenarion" (another of my top favorites). I hadn't heard it before, and was moved to tears. Having grown up in New York, and still considering myself a New Yorker, this song reminded me of the fall of the Twin Towers, and the heroism of the those who lived and died there. It could be a fitting memorial to them, especially now. Thanks so much."

"I LOVE that this song is here!!! I am a Elizabeth Moon fan. I have heard OF "Fair Were the Towers, but I did not know anyone knew the lyrics and tune. Could I know if you have Cedars of the Valley?"
